There are probably other East Coast Poulsens. Perhaps we should know them. We don't. This is our blog. If our family doesn't look familiar, you've stumbled onto the wrong Danish-Americans.

Thomism
Nate (calling for Thomas through the house): "Thomas! Thomas!" Thomas (found straddling the banister of the stairs): "My name is Tom. And I'm a cowboy."
hahaha!! this is particularly funny as thomas has lately been earnestly insisting that des drop his friendly "thom" when addressing him and to please call him "thomas" (don't call me thom, my name's thomas!!) i worried that thomas was becoming annoyed with such intimacy, as des, baffled, continued on as usual!
It's probably a manifestation of how much he misses Desi, the first person ever to give him an intimate moniker other than the well-worn "bubby" that Nate and I have called him since he was born. Maybe he will permanently claim it now. Desi has renamed him. :)
